Kimono forest of Arashiyama station

Pond at the end of Kimono lane

At the Arashiyama station of Randen line, there are some cylindrical poles covered with Kimono textiles. This Kimono forest is created by some Kimono textiles of Kyoto where some unique patterns are dyed on 2 meter long cylindrical pillars. There is a lane with Kimono pillars on both sides with a pond of natural water at its end. It is believed that dipping your hands in the water and praying here make your wish come true.We could see six hundred Kimono poles all over this station. These pillars will be illuminated during nights which gives an awesome feeling.
