Nara Park

Nara Park (Nara Kōen) can be accessed by foot in 6 minutes from the JR Nara station. On the vast grounds of this park, we can see a lot of deer roaming around. The famous Nara Daibutsu of Todaiji temple, Kofukuji temple, Kasuga Taisha etc. are situated in this park. We can see many vendors selling special biscuits for feeding the deer. While we approach the park area, these cute inhabitants will cover us to see if they could get some eatables. It is very interesting to be with them without even knowing how the time flew away.

If you love photography and if you are having enough time to spent in the Nara park, you can capture some interesting photos of deer.

These deer are wild ones who are coming down the mountain to feed upon the grass of the park. And of course, the deer biscuits(Shikasenbei) given by the visitors. Small deer are taken care near the park and they are kept separately where visitors can enter with some entry ticket.
